Nershi-Law to play Santa Cruz' Kuumbwa Jazz Center
The Nershi-Law Duo team up for a very special two-show run at the legendary Kuumbwa Jazz Center in Santa Cruz. Who would think that tiny Santa Cruz has an internationally recognized nonprofit jazz venue. They're one of the longest weekly nonprofit jazz presenters on the West Coast, established in 1975, and we're extremely excited to be playing there. Take a listen to KPIG-AM's Ham Jam on Saturday afternoon and KPIG-FM Sunday morning for live in-studio performances by Nershi-Law and a chance to win tickets to the Sunday night shows!
Nershi-Law teams with Santa Cruz Guitars
The Santa Cruz Guitar Company is proud to present an evening of Americana bluegrass with just the slightest twist with the Nershi-Law Duo. This intimate performance in the beautiful setting of the Big Basin Vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains will give lucky audience members the chance to hear two friends crafting the timeless sound of acoustic harmony in a soulful, down-home, crooning American style. Throughout the performance, the two will showcase different models offered by SCGC, allowing folks to hear the full potential of these guitars. Bill Nershi received his first custom Santa Cruz in 1997, and has a new one currently in production, set to be completed in time for this event! Scott Law was only introduced to the Santa Cruz Guitar Company recently, but has gotten to know both the guitars and employees quite well. SCGC had the pleasure of watching Law fall in love with their instruments and, upon getting his first custom model earlier this year, has been representing the company tremendously well by playing his Santa Cruz all over the country with
Darol Anger’s Republic of Strings.
This unique evening of boutique guitar and wine tasting will be presented by Richard Hoover of the Santa Cruz Guitar Company in conjunction with Sylvan Music, the outstanding local music shop and beloved dealer of Santa Cruz Guitar Company. Santa Cruz guitars will be available onsite to be viewed and played during the long intermission between sets, and will be available for purchase that evening.
